What’s New in Normandy Overlord Guide v1.20.03

Version 1.20.03 of Normandy Overlord Guide adds 67 landmarks. It is focused on strongpoints along Normandy coast, 56 on total. With this new batch almost all the strongpoints are considered. You will be able to walk through Normandy beaches and figure out the these allocations.

Strongpoints

This update focuses on add more geolocations of Wn (Widerstandsnest / Resistance Nest) strongpoints manned by small platoon force composed by 10-30 soldiers and the larger strongpoints called Stp (Stützpunkt / Support Point) which are company strength defensive positions, designed to anchor a defense line and support smaller, adjacent Wn positions.

The new locations are distributed on these zones: of Gold, Juno, Sword landing beaches, surroundings of Isigny sur Mer, Grandcamp Maisy, Pegasus Bridge and Francesville Plague. As you can check most of them are within British and Canadian sector.

The total number of new strongpoints is 56.

The exact distribution is as follows:

Surroundings of Isigny sur Mer and Grandcamp Maisy (in the gap between Utah and Omaha) -> 8 new strongpoints

Gold -> 24 new strongpoints

Juno -> 6 new strongpoints

Sword -> 10 new strongpoints

Surroundings of Pegasus Bridge -> 7 new strongpoints

Surroundings of Francesville Plague (East side of mouth river Orne)-> 5 new strongpoints

Combat actions and relevant/insightful locations

But the data base on others topics interesting topics continues growing with more new geo locations (11 in total), some examples:
